mk1 fezzer

heres some pics of our latest winter project the car is now stripped just the susension left on !!!!! the engine bay is now been cleaned up and a quick coat of primer ready for the paintshop guys to work their magic !!!!!! its having 2 front wings and a front panel they wernt 2 bad but this ones gonna be a showboat for next year so its gotta be minty!!!! a wide arch kit is on the way followed by 50mm lowering kit !!!!and some 7x13 superlights!!!heres some piccys will add more as we go[img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

lol they just need a kick up the bum every now and then !!! anyway they said they are bored of escorts now and fancy doin a fiesta instead and not to worry about that mk1 sat in the corner covered in dust thats staying for a long time !!!!! lol

arches arrived today so have had a trial fit[img][/img] there will be a bit of trimming to do

then started to cut away the outer arch !!!! fitting the big arches has worked in our favour as the only rust in the car is on the arches which are being cut away to house those 7x13 superlights[img][/img]
gonna cary on over the weekend and c if we can get this side welded up and sealed [img][/img]

Lee is actually getting on with the Mk1 ! I must go back over to keep him pumped up as I have not been for 2 weeks! Perhaps in the morning and I will report in.......

Lees been on holiday this week so I am hoping he is all singing and dancing when he gets back! I think a daily visit may be better

not done much this week but managed to finish cutting and welding the os/r arch this evening !!!!gone round the weld with seam sealer and tomorrow i will fill the arch to make sure its nice and straight then it will get a spray over with some rubberized coating inside and out hey presto wide arch ready to go on !!!!!!!once the arch is on it will be sealed from underneath and get the rubberized spray to keep that nasty tin worm away [img][/img]

well ive been back at it the last 2 evenings!!!!!!spent one of those cleaning the garage!!! its great havin the garage but its only small and one can make a rite mess in no time in such a small place lol so the os/r arch is now ready sealed up and rubber stonechip applied [img][/img] so one more 2 do gona get it turned round the weekend and start cutting !!!!!!!!!!

eeeeaaaaaarrr we go then havnt got an awfull lot done on my shell but have picked up another mk1 shell of a mate who rallys a mk2 escort and preps the odd car as he goes !!!so ive been stripping all the good bits off that shell it came with xr2 front legs hubs and brakes and braided hoses !!!! hydraulic handrake adjustable rear arms and panrod cossie disc conversion !!!rear strut brace !!!and a mint tailgate an doors !!!!also came with a laminated front screen and round headlights [img][/img][img][/img] so im cutting out the other arch this week then starting the floor rear section first

well im back on it !!!cut the ns/r arch out 2nite bit more work to do this side [img][/img][img][/img] so a plating i will go

well both arches now done its time to get the wide arch kit to fit nice [img][/img]this may take some time as i want the arches to be blended in!!!! once ive done the rears im goin to get crackin on cleaning up the floor ready for a lick of rubber stonechip and a fresh coat of paint !!!!
